SSI Research Scientist

Dr. Whitney's research mainly centers around developing computer codes that model spectra and images of a variety of objects, from Mars to star formation regions to galaxies. She is heavily involved in several large projects to survey our Galactic plane and the Magellanic Clouds using the Spitzer and Herschel Space Telescopes (GLIMPSE, GLIMPSE360, SAGE, SAGE-SMC, Heritage).
