Dr. Dean Hines employs ultraviolet, optical and infrared imaging, spectropolarimetry and spectroscopy, and radio imaging to investigate dusty astrophysical phenomena including the zodiacal debris in our solar system, material forming planets around young stars, supernova remnants, and the obscuring tori in Active Galactic Nuclei. He is also involved with instrumentation, having been a member of the HST/NICMOS and Spitzer/MIPS instrument teams, and currently the JWST/MIRI team.
